Work Permits:

Work Permits Issues work permits to teenagers ages 14-18 so that they may be employed.

Volunteer Services Program:

Recruitment of community volunteers to assist with an array of tasks that aid our staff and the citizens of Nash County, ex. transportation, shopping for Christmas for foster children, general office work, special projects.

Communities In Schools:

The Department of Social Services works in collaboration with Communities in Schools to provide home based prevention services to children who are at risk of dropping out of school, in an effort to help them learn needed skills and to prepare them to become productive citizens.

Williford Family Resource Center:

The Department of Social Services works in collaboration with the CIS sponsored Center to provide education and support for strengthening families in the community.
